Challenge

A major European utility network operator needed a production-ready MVP within 6 months to manage their infrastructure through advanced analytics. The solution required robust capabilities in forecasting, clustering, and anomaly detection for their meter network.

Our Approach

We architected a comprehensive solution combining powerful backend systems with an intuitive frontend interface. Our Flask API leverages an RDF store for asset definitions, enabling AI-driven knowledge inference and advanced analytics. On the frontend, we implemented a high-performance React.js solution that visualizes thousands of assets simultaneously through Leaflet integration, while using D3 for interactive asset diagrams and Plotly for real-time analytics dashboards. We developed and deployed custom analytics models tailored to the client’s infrastructure needs. Our solution incorporates timeseries forecasting for predictive planning, sophisticated clustering of energy consumption patterns, and equipment anomaly detection to enable proactive maintenance strategies.

Results

We delivered a production-ready MVP ahead of the 6-month deadline, exceeding the client’s requirements. The platform’s domain-agnostic architecture enables deployment across multiple industry sectors, demonstrating its versatility and scalability. This success directly contributed to NetLume securing additional investment for technology advancement.

Future Plans

We’re advancing the platform’s capabilities through an automated multi-source data integration system, powered by RDF definitions. This enhancement streamlines model training processes while expanding our analytics toolkit, enabling more sophisticated business applications across diverse industries.
