Analytics Platform for Utility Networks
Data Engineering • Tilia
Challenge
Tilia needed to transform complex network analytics into an accessible platform for non-technical users. The solution required seamless integration with NetLume’s API while maintaining powerful analytical and simulation capabilities.
Our Approach
We engineered a comprehensive full-stack solution that converts NetLume’s powerful API into an intuitive low-code environment. The platform delivers customizable asset grouping, advanced analytics, and dynamic dashboards for water and energy consumption scenarios. At its core, our FastAPI microservice processes analytical outputs and manages simulation computations, enabling engineers to derive complex insights through an intuitive interface. Users now aggregate time series data and apply custom formulas directly through the user interface, bridging the gap between sophisticated analysis and accessibility.
Results
The platform enhanced Tilia’s engineering operations by making complex data analysis accessible. Engineers now create and analyze custom asset groups, leverage flexible visualization dashboards, and run sophisticated water and energy consumption simulations - all without writing code. This improved accessibility speeds up decision-making and increases operational efficiency across their utility networks.
Future Plans
We’re expanding the platform’s capabilities through improved data integration across diverse external sources while developing a community-driven ecosystem of custom formulas and templates. Our FastAPI microservice architecture continues to evolve, supporting more complex computational tasks and broader simulation scenarios to address specific industry needs.
Team Expertise
Our multidisciplinary team combines practical engineering knowledge with software development capabilities. We integrate expertise in low-code development, data visualization, and microservices architecture with engineering principles to deliver solutions that balance technical depth with practical usability.
